I arrived to perform a diagnostic on an air conditioner. Upon my arrival, customer informed me that the unit was not cooling. I inspected the filter and found it to be very dirty, as well as there was water on top of the unit. Upon a further look, I found the coil was frozen. Informed customer to leave AC off and fan on to let the coil thaw out, will have to return to do work on it.

The TXV isn’t metering properly as well having a 17 in wide coil on a 14 in wide furnace which is losing airflow. Customer is replacing Unit.
